My newsletter has FREE and DRM-free short stories and poetry, you keep what you read

With the whole Sony PlayStation “no more games ownership” crap, it seems like a good time to remind people I’ve created a “library” on my newsletter where I’m building up a collection of short stories and poetry across genres. These are free and DRM-free ebooks from a diverse group of authors and poets. Meaning, you can download them and keep them forever. No license, no subscription. Just save them somewhere safe and back them up.

  • Don’t stop believing in your own writing

It can be hard to keep the writing going sometimes. Sometimes we get imposter syndrome, sometimes we lack confidence, or take a hit in our confidence from external forces. Sometimes it just all feels out of reach, like maybe we just don’t have the right stuff.

But I say, nah, believe in your own self. Believe in your stories. Believe in your characters and bring them to life for us. You have such wonderous stories to share, and your voice may be just the one some kid who feels unseen needs to read.

So keep on writing. Keep on thinking. Keep on imagining.

  • Indie authors must be political

📚 Indie authors: people will complain about you and call you too political, and beg you to stick to writing fiction. But if we don’t speak up and push back, our stories will be banned from libraries, book stores, and online. It’s already happening.

Literally if I don’t get political there’s a real chance I won’t be able to write stories anymore because it’ll be illegal for me to do so.

So I say: write like hell and yell like hell. Because our stories deserve to be read.
